This much‑loved motoring event has been part of our branch activities since the very beginning — and for good reason: it’s always a great day out!
We’ll meet outside Gloria Jean’s Coffee at Northwood Shopping Centre at 10 a.m. before setting off on a good couple of hours scenic back‑road motoring through North Canterbury.
Our route will take us via a couple of alternate country routes to Glenafric Farm, perched on the spectacular cliff‑top coast near Waipara. There we’ll spread out the picnic blankets for lunch and enjoy one of the most spectacular views in the region.
Our hosts, James and Maria Hoban, are looking forward to welcoming us — and James has a nice collection of historic farm tractors to show off.
This relaxed outing is free to enter and open to all club‑eligible vehicles. Bring your lunch, your camera, and family & friends along for the ride.
It’s reasonably windy on the clifftops at Gelenafric - so bring a warm jacket just in case! (The woolshed will be open to have your lunch in if you feel you are going to be blown away).
If you’d like to start the day with breakfast and a catch‑up, please book ahead at Gloria Jean’s (323 5704) — it’s sure to be busy, so don’t leave it too late!
