Club Championship
The Club Championship Series is a 12-round competition comprising circuit racing and hill climb events held throughout the South Island. This points series is the brain child of Don Gerrard who oversees and scores it throughout the season.
The series is designed to encourage and promote participation in speed events, with additional points awarded to competitors who drive their cars to and from events and to BPVCC club members. Whether you spectate or compete, our Committee is committed to supporting larger VCC grids and keeping the racing side of our sport thriving. To further this goal, we are introducing our own Championship Series for the 2026/27 calendar of speed events, which we hope will inspire new competitors, bring long-hidden pre-1965 VCC race cars back into action, and provide an added incentive for existing competitors throughout the season.
